AccessU 2020 lets you bring the accessibility community to your desktop. It is dedicated to the memory of our friend and colleague Christopher Schmitt.

May 13 and May 14 – the Talks
- 8:30 am: Conference Registration, Welcome and Room Dedication to Christopher Schmitt
- 9:00 am to noon: 40 minute talks from renowned accessibility experts followed by live Q&A.
- Noon to 1:30 am: Break and networking opportunities via Slack and Zoom chat
- 1:30 to 4:30 pm: 40 minute talks are continued
Networking Event
May 13th 5:00 to 6:00 pm: Happy Hour and Tribute to Christopher Schmitt
Costume optional Happy Hour with Zoom Room icebreakers and opportunity to meet attendees, speakers, and sponsors. Find out more information about the Happy Hour.
May 19 and May 20 – the Training
Classes are offered over two days in four rooms. Each room has a featured topic although there is some topic overlap. Classes run from 9:00 am to noon and from 1:30 to 4:40 pm.

Jamie Knight
Jamie and Lion are an autistic duo who live in Romford. They are not very good at writing third party bios and are a bit shy. If asked they would tell you about their work. Almost 10 years at the BBC working on everything from iPlayer Radio to children’s gaming. Jamie Knight’s current job title is “senior research engineer” within the digital accessibility team. Jamie’s research focus is VR accessibility looking at navigation, interaction, narrative and facilitation.

Chancey Fleet
Chancy Fleet is the accessibility technology coordinator at the New York Public Library’s Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library. In 2017, she was named a Library Journal Mover and Shaker. She’s also president of the Tech Trainers Division of the National Federation of the Blind.
