Accessibility Testing with Screen Readers

Description:
This class is aimed at designers, developers, QA testers and others who are part of the web accessibility testing cycle, or who simply want to understand how accessible and usable a web page(s) is. This is an introductory course, targeted at those with little to know previous screen reader experience. There will be plenty of time for participants to kick the tires of these screen readers on the web and to ask questions of an actual screen reader user.
Practical Skills:
- How to use key features and functions of the Job Access with Speech (JAWS, a commercially available software) and NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA, a free open source software package) screen readers
