Kate Walser is a Principal User Experience Consultant with CX Insights, where she works with organizations to create applications and websites that customers and citizens can use and enjoy. She specializes in collaboration and rich application design and has worked with organizations including the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, US Environmental Protection Agency, US Departments of Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs, Defense, and Navy; Internal Revenue Service; T. Rowe Price; and AXA Equitable; and more. Kate served on the US federal advisory committee tasked with updating Section 508 accessibility standards and has served on the boards of the Center for Plain Language and local UXPA chapter. Her chapter, Usability and Gov 2.0,” appears in the book, Usability in Government Systems: User Experience Design for Citizens and Public Servants (May 2012).
