Ron Hicks

Ron has worked with Knowbility and been an advocate for IT accessibility since the first AIR Austin in 1998. He has been instrumental in acquiring funding for and sustaining Knowbility’s core programs like AIR and ATSTAR throughout the organization’s existence. In addition to his work with Knowbility, Ron has worked as a grant writer, development officer and project director for other disability service organizations and has served on staff in those roles for agencies providing critical services for the homeless, treatment for chemical dependency, women’s reproductive health, cultural arts and diversity. Ron has lived in Austin since 1971 and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
